• Go find locations around campus or Syracuse in general with your sketchbook( 11x14 sketchbook is best)
• Using loose sketching techniques fill( try not to leave any space unsketched upon...at least 5-10 sketches per page) 20 pages of your sketchbook with loose gestures like these: ( see image attached)
As you work, develop from looser drawings to more realized drawings ( see the subway sketches and the ink sketch examples for an idea towards approach.)
• Among those gestures include more fully realized drawings( 5 at least) at a more final version: feel free to incorporate exaggeration and expression and even a bit of Caricature!
*** You should probably spend approximately an hour a day sketching this week, just getting yourself in practice
